Restorative Sleep Medicine
In-person appointments are on WEDNESDAYS ONLY. Please do not come to the clinic address on any other day as no one will be there to greet you. Upon arrival you are welcome to use the waiting area just outside Ste 2B If you are more comfortable waiting in your car, please call 434-202-4199 and leave a message to let us know that you have arrived.
Telehealth appointments are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
You will have an initial consultation with a provider to determine if a sleep study is necessary and if so what type of study is recommended. Our clinic uses Sentara Martha Jefferson Sleep Lab for diagnostic sleep testing. In some cases where the patient is located in Virginia but not close to Charlottesville AND a HOME study is indicated, we may use a service where you will be mailed the home sleep apnea test kit with instructions for use and return. Once you have completed your study you will be notified once the results are available and prompted to use the online scheduling to make a follow-up appointment with your provider to review the results and determine a treatment plan.

Restorative Sleep Medicine participates with electronic prescribing directly to your mail order and local pharmacies. Our goal is to assist our patients with prescription requests in an efficient and timely manner.
Use the patient portal or call your pharmacy for all refill requests.
Allow up to three (3) business days for a refill request to be processed. If you use a mail order pharmacy, please contact us fourteen (14) days before your medication is due to run out.
Medication refills will be processed during regular office hours (Monday – Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm). No prescriptions will be refilled on Saturday, Sunday or Holidays.
Prescription refills require close monitoring by your provider to ensure safety and effectiveness. It is important to keep your scheduled appointment to ensure that you receive timely refills. Repeated no shows or cancellations will result in a denial of refills.
Patients requesting new prescriptions must be seen for an appointment.
Refills can only be authorized on medication prescribed by providers from our office. We will not refill medications prescribed by other providers.
Some medications require prior authorization. Depending on your insurance, this process may involve several steps by both your pharmacy and your provider. The providers and pharmacies are familiar with this process and will handle the prior authorization as quickly as possible. Only your pharmacy is notified of the approval status. Neither the pharmacy nor the provider can guarantee that your insurance company will approve the medication. Please check with your pharmacy or your insurance company for updates.
If you have any questions regarding medications, please discuss these during your appointment. If for any reason you feel your medication needs to be adjusted or changed, please contact us immediately.
Our providers participate in the Virginia Prescription monitoring program.
